Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines


All files should be submitted as a MS Word document. The name of the MS Word file should begin with the author’s surname, followed by the initials of the first name (e.g. TRIBE_J). The same apply to tables and figures, to which you should add the numbering (e.g. TRIBE_Fig1; TRIBE_Table2).


When submitting a full paper authors need to supply the following information: full title, author(s) details, acknowledgements, abstract and keywords.


Details should be supplied on the Article Title Page including:given name and family name, affiliation of each author, mailing address and e-mail address of the corresponding author.


Authors must supply a structured abstract on the Article Title Page: purpose, design/methodology/approach, findings, research limitations/implications (if applicable), practical implications (if applicable) and originality/value.

Maximum is 250 words in total (including keywords and article classification, see below).


Please provide 3 to 5 keywords on the Article Title Page.


Categorize your paper on the Article Title Page, under one of these classifications: research paper, conceptual paper or literature review.

The paper can be submitted in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish and the abstract and keywords should be both in the original language of the paper and in English.

All papers will be blind refereed. Reviewed papers will be returned to the authors and will then proceed to publication. The editorial board may decide not to publish papers whose assessment is not positive or that do not comply with the presented guidelines.


The paper should have a limit of 7000 words, about 10 to 25 pages, including notes, bibliography, tables and figures, in a maximum of 15 images.

A4 size formatting , 1.5 spacing between lines, Times New Roman 12 font.

The page margins should be: 2.5 cm (top and bottom) and 3 cm (right and left).

Text should be in single-column format.


Style and Bibliography Standards, please use the APA Styleguide.

Please make sure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa).

Footnotes cannot be used for references. All references should be listed together at the end of the text before or after the bibliographic references.

Footnotes should be numbered without brackets, in a continuous way from the beginning to the end of the paper, and presented at the end of each page.


Tables and figures (designation applied to graphics, schemes, photos, and maps) should be numbered in a continuous way, in Arabic numbers. Each author can include only up to 15 figures.

The files of original tables and figures must be uploaded together with the Word file, whether they are Excel files or other formats (in this case, they should be saved or converted with the following extensions: JPG, GIF or EPS).

The IJMCNM does not charge processing fees for papers and does not charge for your submission.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
