La creación y el perfil de las empresas de alto crecimiento en las universidades: el caso de España

Abstract


Las universidades como agentes de transferencia de tecnología y a través de la creación de spin-offs universitarias (USOs) pueden colaborar en la creación de empresas de alto crecimiento (EAC). En el caso de España, considerando el crecimiento del empleo y ventas, cerca un 9% y un 7% de las empresas llegan a ser EAC para el periodo 2011-2014. Estas empresas presentan un mayor tamaño y generan un mayor número de empleos que sus homónimas no EAC. En este sentido, se recomienda incrementar el apoyo y eficiencia con la que administraciones públicas y universidades diseñan políticas destinadas al emprendimiento universitario e identificar que mercados tengan un mayor potencial de crecimiento.
